There’s an available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8 engine that offers increased stamina and power, yielding 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm and 975 lb.-ft. of torque at 1600 rpm with a maximum towing capacity of 21,870 pounds.
Exterior
The Sierra 2500 base trim has 17-inch all-season blackwall tires with steel-painted silver wheels. Standard exterior features include a CornerStep rear bumper, cargo tie-downs, chrome bumpers, LED lighting, and vertical trailering mirrors. Both the 2500 and 3500 are equipped with radar sensors and cameras around the body structure for the Sierra HD Pro Safety package, an assistive driving package that can monitor your surroundings and reduce your risk of collisions.
Interior

Just like the 2500, the Sierra 3500 comes with a 6.6L V8 engine that boasts 401 horsepower and 464 lb.-ft. of torque, while the available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel yields 470 horsepower with 975 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine differs in its towing capabilities on the 3500, offering a maximum towing capacity of 36,000 pounds. On both models, these engines are paired with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting.
Exterior
The 3500 has larger tires than the 2500, with 18-inch all-terrain blackwall tires that are paired with steel-painted silver wheels. Similar to the 2500, this model comes with a CornerStep rear bumper, cargo lamps, LED lighting, and chrome bumpers. Available features include 4-inch black assist steps, black work steps, power-adjustable mirrors, and a GMC MultiPro tailgate with six configurations.
Interior
The Sierra 3500 shares many similar interior features with the 2500, such as a 7-inch infotainment system and a 3.5-inch monochromatic driver information center. Available cabin features include adaptive cruise control, which maintains a pre-selected distance between your truck and the vehicle in front of you, and a 10-way power driver seat that comes with lumbar support settings for optimal comfort.
