The HUMMER recently made its triumphant return as an EV, offering pickup truck and SUV variants for drivers to choose from. The 2024 GMC HUMMER EV is better than ever thanks to its bold design, smart tech, and impressive capability.

HUMMER EV SUV performance

Although not as capable as its truck sibling, the GMC HUMMER EV SUV delivers impressive performance for an SUV. In fact, it gets a best-in-class available 830 horsepower, best-in-class 11,500 pounds of available torque, and an EPA-estimated 314 miles of available range.[1]

Both the SUV and PICKUP offer remarkable performance features like available CrabWalk that turns the rear tires in the opposite direction of the front tires for improved maneuverability at certain speeds. An additional feature found on both models is available Watts to Freedom. This feature lowers the vehicle by 2 inches with an air suspension, provides haptic feedback in the driver’s seat, and takes you from 0-60 mph in about 3.5 seconds.[2] 

HUMMER EV PICKUP performance

For a little more muscle, turn to the GMC HUMMER EV PICKUP. This beastly truck offers a best-in-class available 1,000 horsepower on the 3X model with the 24-module battery pack. With that same powertrain setup, the PICKUP can deliver a GM-estimated 381 miles of all-electric range.[1] The standard range is still quite impressive at 329 miles on a single charge.[1] 

As you might expect, the HUMMER EV PICKUP is outfitted with various truck-specific features that you won’t find on the SUV model. This includes the GMC MultiPro™ tailgate that gives you incredible versatility for all kinds of work. You can also opt for a version of this useful tailgate with an audio speaker by KICKER®.  

Design

While the 2024 HUMMER EV SUV and 2024 HUMMER EV PICKUP both feature similar design elements, there are some differences between the two models. In the front, these two GMC vehicles have a bold LED HUMMER EV light bar as well as heated and power-adjustable side mirrors. Color options are the same across the board for these models and include unique hues like Deep Aurora Metallic, Afterburner Tintcoat, and Tide Metallic — to name a few.
 
From front to back, the HUMMER EV PICKUP is slightly larger than the SUV. The PICKUP also features a 5-foot bed in the back and 36.7 cubic feet of cargo volume inside. Meanwhile, the HUMMER EV SUV offers 35.9 cubic feet of cargo room behind the back seats and a maximum of 81.8 cubic feet when those seats are down.

Infotainment technology

When it comes to advanced technology, the HUMMER EV PICKUP and SUV both deliver with smart, connected features. In the dash is a high-definition 13.4-inch high-definition color touchscreen Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Bluetooth® streaming audio, and voice recognition. Behind the steering wheel is a large 12.3-inch Driver Information Center, providing you with a clear view of vital vehicle stats and settings.
 
The HUMMER EV offers a host of convenient available in-vehicle apps to help you keep track of your energy usage, off-road abilities, and trailering. The Off-Road App provides real-time off-roading stats on the infotainment screen, from drift angles and g-force to torque output and more. To keep you entertained, every new GMC HUMMER EV comes with a Bose® 14-speaker Surround with CenterPoint® audio system.

Safety systems

Along with tech that keeps you entertained and connected, the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV models both deliver when it comes to safety. Standard features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Safety Alert Seat, and more.
 
One of the most innovative safety features available is UltraVision, which gives you up to 18 camera views in the PICKUP (including class-exclusive waterproof underbody front- and rear-facing cameras) and 17 in the SUV. You’ll also have the option of adding Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance with automatic lane changing on over 400,000 miles of roads in North America.
