  • GMC Trims

2024 GMC Canyon

The GMC Canyon is the smallest and most affordable truck in the lineup. It has four 4WD trims available, with one of them also available with 2WD. With AT4 and AT4X trims as options, the Canyon offers a ton of capability with features like a two-speed transfer case, a MultiStow Tailgate Storage System, and a driver mode selector with four modes.

2024 GMC Sierra 1500

Tough and reliable are two words to describe the GMC Sierra 1500. This classic truck has a multitude of trims available with a Regular Cab, Double Cab, or Crew Cab as well as a Short Bed, Standard Bed, or Long Bed. With that much versatility, it’s hard to see how the Sierra 1500 could get better! Here are some feature highlights: four engine options, GMC MultiPro Tailgate, Super Cruise driver-assist tech, hitch guidance, and ventilated front seats.

2024 GMC Sierra HD

If you need even more power behind the wheel of your new truck, consider choosing a GMC Sierra HD model. This GMC truck has two levels to choose from: 2500 Heavy Duty and 3500 Heavy Duty. Each have a multitude of rough-and-ready features to make tough jobs easy. The Sierra 2500 HD has things like a standard 6.6-liter V8 engine, Sierra HD Pro Safety tech, skid plates, as well as an in-vehicle trailering app. The Sierra 3500 HD offers similar features but has more power, with 36,000 pounds of max towing compared to the 2500 HD’s 22,500 pounds.

2024 GMC Terrain

Starting off with the most affordable vehicle in the lineup is the GMC Terrain. This crossover SUV has four trims available, with front- and all-wheel drive options. Standard and available highlights for this vehicle include things like a turbo engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission, a hands-free power programmable liftgate, a heated steering wheel, GMC Pro Safety Plus, and a SkyScape® power sunroof.

2024 GMC Acadia

If you need a bit more room in your SUV, consider the GMC Acadia. This option also has four trims with FWD and AWD as well as multiple engine options — a 2.0-liter turbo or 3.6-liter V6 — that let you choose how much power you have behind the wheel. Highlights that you’ll find available on the Acadia include a head-up display, HD Surround Vision, wireless smartphone connectivity, and LED headlamps.

2024 GMC Yukon

The largest SUVs in the lineup are the GMC Yukon and its extended version, the GMC Yukon XL. Both offer room for up to eight people, but the Yukon XL gives you more room in the back for cargo when you fold down the seats. Besides more space, here are some additional highlights of this model’s three trims: various engine options, including a turbo diesel; a 10.2-inch touch-screen infotainment system; and a Bose® 14-speaker audio system.

GMC Trims Explained | San Angelo, TX

If you’ve ever been confused when trying to choose the perfect trim level of your new GMC vehicle, we’ve got you covered. These names signify what you can expect when you get behind the wheel, offering affordability, off-road capability, premium luxury, or a combination of it all.

  • Pro and SLE

The most budget-friendly trims in the GMC lineup are the Pro and SLE models. You’ll only find the Pro trim level available on the GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, and 3500 HD trucks. This serves as the base trim for these vehicles but still come with powerful engines, advanced technology, and comfortable materials inside their cabins.

If you’re considering a new GMC SUV like the Terrain, Acadia, or Yukon, the most inexpensive trim is the SLE. While these “Special Luxury Edition” (SLE) models are considered the lowest trim, they still feature desirable amenities that many drivers will enjoy. For example, the GMC Acadia SLE is equipped with LED headlamps, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and an efficient 2.0-liter turbo engine.

  • Elevation and SLT

Do you want a little more luxury without spending too much money? Consider upgrading to the SLT or Elevation trims. Similar to the Pro trim, the Elevation trim is reserved for GMC trucks. However, this option is also available on the GMC Canyon in addition to the Sierra. Think of this option as a way to “elevate” your trucking experience with different design elements, interior amenities, and more available add-ons.

The GMC SUV lineup offers the SLT or “Special Luxury Trim.” These typically include upscale features in the cabin like a larger infotainment touch-screen display, heated front seats, power lumbar control, remote start, perforated leather, and additional tech upgrades.

  • AT4 and AT4X

Are you someone who loves going off-road? Do you want a vehicle that can handle your adventurous side? That’s what GMC AT4 and GMC AT4X models are for! The “All-Terrain 4” (four-wheel drive) trim is an option that’s available on the Terrain, Acadia, Yukon, Canyon, Sierra 1500, and Sierra HD.

The GMC SUVs only offer the AT4 trim, which tend to come with exclusive capable features to make traveling off the beaten path easier. For example, the GMC Acadia AT4 has an Active Torque Control AWD System that is specially tuned for multi-terrain environments like dirt and gravel. The AT4 SUV models also show off their athletic prowess with all-terrain blackwall tires and improved approach angles.

You’ll find many similarities on the GMC AT4 trucks, including more versatile off-roading features like the GMC MultiPro Tailgate and skid plates. But the GMC Canyon, Sierra, and Sierra HD also offer the AT4X trim — taking capability and power to another level. The Canyon AT4X comes with exclusive features like a spray-on bedliner for added protection, a Trailering Package, and off-road rocker protectors.

The Sierra 1500 AT4X and Sierra HD AT4X also offer unique off-road-ready features. You’ll find things like trailer tire pressure and temperature sensors, a driver-selectable full-locking rear differential, an off-road suspension, and so much more.

  • Denali and Denali Ultimate

For the very best in luxury, you should consider getting behind the wheel of a GMC Denali or GMC Denali Ultimate vehicle. These trims have a first-class appeal, inside and out, with features like chrome detailing, larger wheels, premium audio systems, and the very best in GMC safety systems.

The Terrain, Acadia, and Canyon are available in the Denali trim while the Yukon, Sierra 1500, and Sierra HD offer the Denali as well as the Denali Ultimate. How do they differ? The Denali Ultimate trim tends to come with the most innovative systems, such as trailering-capable Super Cruise hands-free technology.
